TEAMWORK  ZOMBIE FILM 
THE BRIEF 


Working in teams is an essential requirement of working in the media industry. Without teamwork and communication media products would not reach professional standards. For this unit you will work together -This will develop your confidence for independent assessed tasks.
You need to comment on the process of working as a team, reflect on your role and your team members and provide any evident of your contribution and include the final product. Your VPA FILM COMPANY has been commissioned to create a short film -It is also important to take time to reflect on your achievements and areas for improvement within the team.



1.              BE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SETTING OF THE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL GOALS


1.1.         Identify the team’s goals
We are going to be making a short film based on a zombie outbreak for this we will be getting each member of the class involved to help out with acting and other pre production roles whether it be directing, location scouting and acting etc. we will also be getting people from outside college and drama students to help out with filming but our main goals is to make a movie to the best of our ability and getting to work in a team to help with our teamwork skills.




1.2.         Describe the process involved in planning and deciding the team’s goals
The process in planning and deciding the teams goals will be everybody getting a production role which means that each individual will be in control of that role. Before we chose the roles we held a production meeting so that we could choose our roles 






2.              UNDERSTAND OWN AND OTHERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES IN ACHIEVING THE TEAMS GOALS


2.1.         Organise own activities effectively within the agreed goals of the team

i organised my own activities by making sure that i completed my job as quickly as possible and having dates set so that i knew what needed to be done and when they needed to be done meaning that i had everything ready for when e went out to film


These are the key dates that will take me through the production .. on wednesday the 1st of may and friday 3rd i went out to scout locations for where we could shoot the movie and told the rest of the team where the locations are and took pictures to show to the others.

We scouted the locations where we could possibly shoot our music video which are in and around college the locations are also easly accesible and are also good places to shoot a horror movie we also brainstormed ideas for the storyboard which helped us with choosing locations for the movie

Today we where meant to be filming but due to the script writer not being in we had to improvise our characters so that we can start the production on friday

Today we went out to shoot our movie we shot some of the scenes which are in barnes park so that on friday we can finish the rest of the shots in barnes park then we can shoot inside next week

3.1           Plan activities that enable the team to reach its goals 



I have been looking about looking for differant locations in which we could shoot parts of our movie and have found locations safe and suitable to film 

3.2           Identify own responsibilities towards the team in relation to the plan 



my own responsibilities which i was given was to find locations in which the team could shoot the movie and make sure that the locations where safe and that the isnt a risk of any of the team getting hurt and make sure that the locations were suitable to film and check whether people would interupt the shooting and how to work around it if that was to happen 

3.3           Carry out own responsibilities 


I completed all of the tasks which i was given from the director the day of shooting the move i also completed all the tasks which i was given (location scouting) before we started to shoot the movie so we knew all of the locations in which we were going to go to film


3.4           Contribute to the successful completion of the team activities


I contributed to the success of the movie by being a "runner" which i would go to locations and make sure that we could film there and that there was nothing or nobody who could interupt the video

4.              BE ABLE TO REVIEW THE TEAM ACTIVITIES 


4.1.         Feedback on own actions in relation to the overall team activities

i think i helped out with the movie a fair bit as i found out the locations where we shot it meaning that i contributed a fair ammount however i beleive that i could have donea better job by maybe being more organised and maybe helping out with th shooting of the movie but that is something wich i will work on for next time i work in work with a team

 4.2 Describe the different teams members contribution

in the team we had Matthew and deacon who were directing the movie they played a key part in the movie as they controlled what happened and how it happened we also had josh who helped with props and brought all of the props in which were needed for the movie. we had daniel and karim how were in charge of editing the movie

Be able to pitch an idea for a media product to an audience



PITCH A MEDIA PRODUCT IDEA TO AN AUDIENCE

Every Advertisment becomes a reality due to a pitch presentation in order to get the green light the creator needs to consider the genre the synopsis the target audience cast and crew as initial presentation
For this assignment you will create a pitch for film idea 
the duration of my pitch will be 5-10 minutes
you will provide feedback for your peers on their pitch


1.Be able to pitch an idea for a media product to an audience 

  1.1 Deliver a persuasive oral presentation on the concept and content of a media product to an audience.


Lecturer and class observed my pitch and we filmed the pitch too.- 








  2 Be able to produce a written/illustrated document to accompany a pitch


 
2.1. Create an appropriate ‘Leave Behind’ document that supports the idea
 a hard / paper copy is in my folder  







3. Be able to critique a media product idea and pitch

 
3.1. Give critical and supportive feedback to a peer’s idea and pitch.
 write about the class discussion  about strengths and weakness of each perfomance
after each person pitched their ideas for the movie the class had a discussion about what was good about their ideas and what could be worked on and then after everybody pitched their idea we had a discussion about which pitch had the most potential and then we started to give our own ideas which we thought could make it better.

4.1. Self-critique own idea and pitch performance
My own pitch could have been alot better i think i could have went into alot more detail about what is happening i beleive that my idea could have had potential had i have spent more time on my pitch and also if i had explained more. I beleive that my pitch was fairly unique as nobody thought of a pitch with the same type of idea. For next time i will make sure that i go into more detail about the pitch and explain about why i think that it is a good idea and how we couldmake it work i wil also make sure that i spend more time in writing the pitch and making sure that i make it to the best of my ability
